NOTTSBUS ON DEMAND:Introducing Nottsbus On Demand - a flexible, on-demand bus service brought to you by Nottinghamshire County Council.With Nottsbus On Demand you can choose the time you would like to travel by booking your journey through this easy-to-use app.You don’t need to check a timetable, simply book a time for the bus to pick you up from a designated point that is convenient for you, which you can select in the app.Nottsbus On Demand doesn’t have a fixed route, our buses can travel anywhere between designated points within the operating zones, where there is not already a scheduled bus service running.
Our smart technology will match your journey with other customers travelling in the same direction so you can be picked up along the way.HOW TO BOOK A JOURNEY:Booking a journey with Nottsbus On Demand is easy: Once you have downloaded this app click ‘Get Started’ to register your details.
When you’re ready to book a journey, simply open the app and select a pick-up point from the list provided.
You can also choose your pick-up time and destination.
Before your journey is confirmed you will be asked if you want to pay through the app or when you get on the bus.
If you have a concessionary pass you can add this to your user profile in the app.
You will be given an estimated time when the bus will arrive at your chosen pick-up point - you can even track the progress of your bus via the app.When it’s time, make your way to your chosen pick-up point and wait for one of our friendly drivers to arrive to take you to your destination.
And, if you’re travelling further afield you can use Nottsbus On Demand to connect to other public transport.WHAT IF THERE ARE NO BUSES AVAILABLE?If all our buses are busy and you cannot book a journey, wait a few minutes and check again.
Our app is run in real time, so as soon as the next bus is available it will show in the app.
CANCELLING YOUR BOOKING IS EASY:If you no longer need to make a journey that you have booked, this can be cancelled in the app, freeing up a seat for someone else.ABOUT OUR BUSES:Like all our buses, Nottsbus On Demand is fully accessible, with low floors and ramp access for wheelchair users, pushchairs and people with mobility difficulties.You can enjoy your journey knowing you are helping the planet too, because these buses will only be travelling when they are needed.Nottsbus On Demand is sure to change the way you think about bus travel.
